Even More Hot Topics

I think procrastinating has become a real habit.

For that one person that is supposed to comment on my blog this week I apologize because I bet you are really annoyed that this is so late.

Infact I don't think you are even going to read this introduction part because you will be in such a hurry to leave a comment that you will just scim.

May I just say that I am ok with that.

Have a wonderful day and please learn not to procrastinate.

Thank you!

No Nukes on the Korean Peninsula

After reading this article it makes me happy that America is armed and ready if anything where to occur. It is also is slightly unsettling to think that such a strong power like nuclear bombs exists in our world.

Thinking about if a nuclear warfare was to ever actually break out and the whole world being destroyed is a rather depressing topic to comprehend. I understand south Korea’s want to make a nuclear bomb, but I agree with the article where it states that they would be better investing their money in something  else that would help them enhance their security.

The reason I agree is because  the use of nuclear weapons are deadly not just to North Korea but the elimination of the whole world.

A War Before and After

I really liked this article and it was really touching. I don’t think I can even begin to comprehend what it must have felt like to have fought in the Iraq war. The stories and memories that each of these soldiers share makes me feel so grateful for living in a country where men and women have literally died so that I can be free. It is a selfless act.  An act taken for granted to often.

Another thought that I had as I read this article is that these are actual people who wrote this. They each have families. Sometimes when you see a list of reported deaths and casualties in a war it means nothing to you, it is only a number, but not to those families… they  have lost a loved one. They lost a son or daughter, mother or father, husband or wife. This is something that I need to remember every day as I put my hand over my heart and pledge allegiance to the flag.

This article also reminded me that just because the war was over didn’t mean that life would all of a sudden be easy for the veterans that had fought in it.

Hot Topics

Hello.

How are you this fine day? My day was just peachy thanks for asking.

I would like to begin by apologizing for posting so late, but this blog is called "Diary of a Procrastinator" so what more do you expect?

Hmmm... So I tried  posting a comment on the Washington Post and it wouldn't let me publish it So I have the comment I would have published and the link to the article I wrote my comment about. Here it is.

Enjoy!

Illegal immigration. This is something that we have had to deal with for centuries. The solution to this has proved not to be easy and just because the Republican Party doesn’t want to show amnesty to people who have broken the law and made a complete mockery out of all the people who have come here legally all of a sudden makes the GOP look like the bad guy.

In reality the GOP problem with showing amnesty is not that we are heartless; we just think that there is a better way to already uphold the laws we have in place.

It is like that in almost anything, people need to be held responsible for their actions. If they are not then like an obnoxious kitty cat or old girl friend they will walk all over you.

Complete amnesty is like the five year old destroying the bathroom and smearing toothpaste across the mirror and then bieng rewarded with a piece of cheeses cake...NOT FAIR!
Why are we rewarding bad behavior?

First of all I think that as a law of nature marriage should only be between a man and a women. The reason for my reasoning comes through looking at examples of plants. Over the summer I have had the opportunity to work with them quite a bit and you know what I discovered… even plants procreate.

They have two parts a male and female.

Plants are not by any means like humans, but when I discovered this it hit me that if a something as small as a little flower understands, that a man and a women are meant to be together then so should I.

After all who wants to live with the fact that a plant is smarter then them?

I also want it to be clear that I don’t have anything against homosexuals, I just do not want them to pass laws for a small minority group and redefine marriage as it will prevent affect everyone and not just the homosexual community.

I am now done and going to go get ready for school. Too-da-loo!

A portrait of me through Poetry

Some call me a nerd
Others point and say "hey you"
Many call me Kayla
To all I am known as Mikaela

All of this is me.

Yes it tis I
The person who does not like walking on tile in bare feet
The teenager who still sleeps with stuffed animals
The human who doesn't want to
be rejected. And the girl
who blasts
Taylor swift throughout
The house all day long ad empathizes with the lyrics.

All of this is me.

My siblings trickle down the line all of them after me.
Ryan, with blond hair and freckles.
He is my best friend. I confide in him about all my deepest fears,
my dreams, and who I have a crush on.
David is the next, with his vibrant personality
and strawberry blond hair to match.
Then comes Michelle and Mikelle. They are not
Twins but appear to be one in there
girly squeaks and squeals.
These are my siblings. I love them.

All of this is me.

I love cuddling up and watching a movie late
at night with a bowl of BYU Cookies and Cream.
I love going to the temple with friends,
and sitting with contempt  knowing
what we are doing is the work of Lord
Like anyone else I love
Getting praised for a job well done.

All of this is me.

I am the person who fears the thought of rejection.
Has a fear  of being misunderstood
and judged unfairly.
\Yet one of my greatest fears is being
without a friend.
Because that means you don't have
anyone to confide in.
I always need someone to confide in.

All of this is me.

Today I feel tired,
Yesterday I felt excited
And last week I felt cold.
The way I feel
Changes like a change in the wind.

All of this is me.

I am a person who needs to be loved
I thrive off of attention,
I need to be reasurred and I NEED
to be told that you care.

All of this is me.

I like to give my all in no matter what I do. (sometimes...)
I am an overachiever when it comes to anything
I like to eat more then my fare share in
Ice cream . I also try to give my time to younger siblings
and try to help them through there
struggles.

All of this is me.

I would like the to see the sun gently kiss the ocean
when it sets, as I sit on a bench in front of
the San Diego temple holding the hand
of  a guy that I Love
I  want to watch Cockapoo puppies chase
my younger siblings in delight under the
warmth of a summer's sun.
I want to see what it actually be like
if I could Hie to Kolab.

All of this is me.

I live in a world of confussion with many
People who don't know who they are.
But I do.
I live in a state refferd to as Mormon Ville.
I go to a school where I am
Lucky enough to have friends that share
my standards.

All of this is me.

I am A child of God, seeking the truth just like you.

This is defiantly me!

The sun I want to see set
